July 7 - 28, 2010
The Evolve Tours Kenyan teen adventure has it all: total immersion in local culture and traditions, a fantastic opportunity to work on development projects improving the lives of local villagers, and several days to explore the extraordinary, natural expanse of the Laikipia Plateau. Amidst this vast stretch of African Savannah with its dramatic cliffs, ice tipped equatorial mountain and exotic wildlife, teen travelers gain a massive sense of achievement with Evolve Tours expertly organized community experiential programme. Concepts such as trust, responsibility, goal setting, teamwork and leadership highly prized but rarely taught effectively in the school blaze to life in the East African bush.
Laikipia is the perfect place for youth to tackle a series of exercises that will broaden their social, emotional and even physical horizons. Even the camping is a part of the process with everyone helping to prepare food, cook, clean and look after the welfare of all team members. Nobody comes back unchanged and that's exactly what we want! This isn't just about work, it could be building classrooms, planting trees or working on wildlife conservation schemes teens have a chance to be with our expert guides to hike, bike, canoe, climb, swim and enjoy game safaris on foot and in vehicles. All in all a truly life changing workout for muscles and minds.
