Is this trip for me?

If your idea of a perfect summer is surfing in a tropical paradise, then this is the trip for you. If you want to travel, explore, and develop your surfing skills in a world-class surfing destination. Campers on this Costa Rica tour get exposure to all of Costa Rica's highlights including its diverse scenery, adventure sports, language and delicious food.

About the Costa Rica surf camp

Our Costa Rica surf camp is perfect for teens 14+ who want to learn how to surf or improve their surfing skills. Costa Rica has been our stomping ground since 2001 when we first started touring it on personal trips. Our experienced staff and instructors know all of the best beaches for every type of surfer. Our main goal is to teach the participants how to surf in a safe, non-competitive environment and help them gain the confidence they need to enjoy the sport for a lifetime.

This surf camp will give you a true taste of the "PURA VIDA" surfing lifestyle. There is nothing like surfing in the warm pacific waves of Costa Rica with the lush green backdrops. There’s nothing like spending the rest of the day zip lining, mountain biking, white water rafting and much more. As you enjoy all this, you’ll be meeting other surfer teens from all over the world.

The Other Parts of the Day

Surfing is only possible during certain times of the day so the rest of your day will be spent discovering other wonders of Costa Rica. Experience hiking and zip lining through dense rainforests. Ride a catamaran, snorkel on beautiful beaches, and visit one the worlds most popular and active volcano's; Arenal Volcano. Costa Rica is one of the richest countries in biodiversity in the world, so you can be sure to see loads of exotic wildlife along the way.

Evolve Tours Instructors and Lessons
Surfing is not an easy sport, and getting proper coaching and instruction is key to learning. Coaches cater to each individual’s skill level to provide the best possible results. From standing and paddling, to stretching and catching waves, our surf instructors will teach you all the skills needed to become a confident rider. Some of our Evolve Tours surf instructors have surfed professionally and have even been sponsored by companies such as Billabong, Roxy, and Volcom to name a few.  Not only do they teach, but they also hold surfing expression sessions and relay races daily. All instructors are CPR and First Aid Certified.  Each camper on this surf trip will be provided with all necessary equipment.
