For those of us who do not have the funds to travel, but want to anyway here is a list of the cheapest travel destinations for summer 2012.

Drug wars have been a major issue in Mexico, which causes tourists to choose another travel destination. Some people do not want to risk it. The European economy is also affecting tourism in Mexico. Europeans and North Americans allow these resorts to thrive. The loss of tourism is hurting their economy. In a positive light for people who are looking for a good deal on a vacation package this is the place to travel. You can get a great deal on a last minute vacation to a 5 star resort and sip pina coladas by the ocean.
Thailand: Recently within the last year Thailand has lost tourism due to political turmoil and flooding. They are trying to recover from this and promote tourism. Thailand is beautiful with its amazing clear blue water and exotic beaches. 5 star resorts are offering tourists great deals. Travel to Thailand before the economy recovers and the prices go back up.
Egypt: There have been major problems in Egypt. Civil unrest and turmoil had taken over the country. Tourists have decided to go to Turkey and other travel destinations instead of visiting the great pyramids. The drop in demand has a few benefits for tourists. There will be fewer crowds when visiting major tourist attractions. Pushing and shoving to get your picture in front of the pyramids will no longer be an issue.
